Urban Light
I came out to LACMA with my family on a gorgeous day out to see some art and enjoy the weekend together. I took these pictures at Chris Burden's "Urban Light," which is an installation of 202 antique lamp posts. The artwork has become an iconic LA landmark, with both locals and tourists flocking to take Instagram-worthy shots. Whenever I see lamp posts, I fondly remember that scene in Singing in the Rain where Gene Kelly jumps up on while singing. I used to mimic that as a child albeit less gracefully, but with equal gusto nonetheless!
I got this striped circle skirt from a boutique in Seoul and absolutely love the way the material billows with movement. These 50's inspired midi skirts with their ladylike silhouettes are so flattering and elegant. They longer length is perfect for spring or fall. Pair them with a form fitting top, a casual tee, or even a light sweater for more transitional weather. I added these Christy flats by Aquazzura with delicate laces that criss-cross and tie at your ankle. The flats truly make my outfit, on pointe. See what I did there? ;)
