Black And White Minimal Looks For Fall
I'm so excited to have my first guest appearance on this blog! Today I introduce to you, Moubina! I met Moubina, a fellow influencer friend, through Instagram. Check out her awesome IG here! Because I love her style, I reached out and asked if she'd like to collaborate and shoot together, and I was so happy because she said yes! Go show her some love on her Instagram!
We had this idea to shoot some black and white minimal looks for fall, and decided that Four Freedoms Park on Roosevelt Island, in New York would be the perfect backdrop. The minimal landscape architecture with its concrete forms and angled lines really helped the two looks to stand out.
As a sort of yin yang duo, I chose to go with an all white look, and Moubina, an all black. A monochrome look from head to toe is really perfect for fall, because the cohesive color instantly pulls your look together and looks chic, elevated, and not to mention elongating and form flattering.
Moubina's Look:
I love that Moubina played with textures and shapes in her outfit. The ruffles and pleats on her pants are an unexpected surprise, especially when she moves! The softness of her blouse and pants are nicely offset by the angles in her coat too. And ankle boots are a must item for your fall closet. They are essential in any fall outfit, and go with dresses or pants!
My Look:
I love an all white look no matter the season. Check out how I styled these same pants here! I love my textured, knit sweater by Urban Outfitters, and thought it went perfectly with my pants. Although not white, I thought the neutral color of the J.Crew cape coat went perfectly with the all white outfit. Cape coats are a must for Fall!! You all know my love for cape coats! I love that you can easily dress my outfit up my switching my flats to heels for the evening as well.
