Dear Madeline
Spring is in full swing and I am absolutely loving the warm weather! Cape coats are perfect for layering in transitional seasons like Spring or Fall. The open sleeves are easy and breezy and oh so fun to wear, and give you warmth while not feeling stuffy like a winter jacket. You can really dress cape coats up or down, whether with a shirt and jeans, or a pretty dress.
I can't deny that I'm channeling a bit of Madeline (the little Parisian girl) in this outfit, especially in the cute bow details of the white lace blouse, the cape, and the tailored hat. The classic black and white ensemble exudes that Parisian-chic I adore. I kept the whole look monochrome with patent leather loafers from Zara. I absolutely love that loafers and mules are trending in fashion right now. It's nice to offset dainty and feminine pieces like the lace blouse with masculine loafers and balance things out. I've also been wearing the blouse and bow duo to work so often it has basically become my effortless work uniform.
How are you dressing for the Spring weather? I'd love to know in the comments below!
XO
