The Perfect Engagement Dress
I'm extra excited to share with you lovelies the pictures from our engagement shoot! There were hundreds of photos to go through, and it was so hard to pick my favorites because I loved how all the pictures turned out! We chose to do the shoot at Prospect Park in Brooklyn, because as Brooklynites we share so many memories there as a family (Jack, Uni our puppy, and me)!
While planning my outfit for the engagement shoot, I found it surprisingly difficult to find the perfect engagement dress. I didn't want something too fancy, like a full on ball gown, but I also wanted it to feel very special. When I finally found this Self Portrait dress, I knew it was the one! The exquisite lace detailing and the quality of the dress is so stunning. The sleeves weren't too long or short, and the midi length of the skirt makes the dress extra feminine and elegant! It is seriously the perfect engagement dress for me!
This is my first Self Portrait dress, and it has turned me into a die hard fan. I know it's only the first of many Self Portrait dresses for me! I paired it with lovely guipure lace sandals by Tabitha Simmons (also a first for me). The beautiful lace on the body of the heel, and the bow tie front details really make these heels extra special. The quality of the heels is impeccable, and very comfortable to walk in. I would wear these with dresses or even a nice pair of denim in the future!
