Beginnings

Dear Friends, old and new,

Today is my birthday, and it’s also the launch of Annchovie! This blog has been a longtime goal of mine, and I can’t contain my excitement in finally seeing this site go public. I thought it fitting to begin this journey on the day I was born, and witness the blog evolve as I continue to evolve. My posts will primarily be focused on fashion, food, and travels, and my hope for this site is that it will be a space of inspiration and positivity.

Beginnings of anything can be the most daunting, whether that be starting college for the first time, a new job, moving to a new country, or even starting a family. Behind this initial kickoff for Annchovie, there has been a whirlwind of ups and downs, of anticipation and doubt, but overall it has truly been a labor of love. For those of you who are itching to do something new, or have been suppressing hidden dreams, I urge you to go ahead, and do what you love.

That being said, there really isn’t a life path that doesn’t come with its own struggles. I truly believe that the more challenging the trials are that you face, the more you will learn and grow. Whenever you experience a setback, consider them opportunities for learning and improving. Never aim for perfection (something I am VERY guilty of), but always aim for constant improvement. Before you know it, you will look back and be alarmed at your own growth. Be open to learning; be humble; be thankful.

Thank you to my family and my boo for encouraging me and helping me get here. I realize even more after this whole process of launching that one of the keys to achieving goals and dreams is to surround yourself with people who support and love you. Because in moments of self-doubt, there is no greater motivation than loved ones that help re-focus your energy on positivity.

I’d love for you to share in my journey with me.

XO,
Annie
